We hear the benefits of CBD Oil for inflammation, pain, and other claims. Many people wonder can you use CBD Oil Topically and if so, how? It seems as if CBD and Hemp products are everywhere nowadays. Everywhere you go you start to notice Hemp. You will find Hemp in creams, lotions, pain relief, anti-aging creams and moisturizing. Does this mean Hemp creams contain CBD? In some cases, yes. In most cases, No!
Topically Speaking…
Research suggests that CBD Oil can treat a variety of skin conditions and help with pain. It’s anti-inflammatory properties may help acne, psoriasis, dermatitis and even eczema as they all are inflammatory conditions. It may even go deeper and help with muscle and joint pain. Each of these conditions are inflammatory conditions. Research even suggest CBD Oil offers anti-aging benefits. CBD Oil can have a positive response to most conditions with a one-two punch!
The One-Two Punch
First Punch
The First Punch is from the inside out. As you take CBD Oil internally it triggers reactions to your endocannabinoid system. One of the main benefits of CBD is that it may support a healthy balance to the endocannabinoid system and promote a feeling of well-being. Endocannabinoids are natural cannabis-like molecules produced by the human body.
The Receptors
There are two main endocannabinoid receptors:
- CB1 receptors, which are mostly found in the central nervous system
- CB2 receptors, which are mostly found in all other parts of your body (bones, joints, skin, muscles, tissues, etc).
The cannabinoids in CBD can bind to the receptors in the Endocannabinoid system and show improvements in various areas of the body. Research suggest that CBD targets and supplements the receptors that needs it most. To learn more about CB1 and CB2 and the receptors click HERE.
Second Punch
The Second Punch is using CBD Oil topically. We know the skin is the largest organ in the body. Many medicines are delivered in a patch because of the absorption through your skin directly into the blood stream. So using CBD on your skin delivers even more CBD and antioxidants directly to wear it is needed most! CBD Oil is full of antioxidants and Omega 3 and 6. If you have a flair up of psoriasis, dermatitis or acne don’t be afraid of putting CBD Oil directly on your skin.
Try putting a dab on some fine lines and wrinkles. The Omega 3 and 6 fatty acids stimulates the production of collagen in your skin! Luckily in today’s world you can find a variety of CBD topical products that prove to be effective and a better value than using your CBD Oil on the skin.
Hemp Cream or CBD Topical?
Hempworx has a line of topicals that contain real CBD! Most hemp creams sold over the counter in most major pharmacy or grocery stores contain hemp seed oil only. Learn what to look for if you want CBD in your cream. Ingredients such as Hemp Seed Oil, Hemp Oil, etc as active ingredients do not contain CBD. This is important if you need the healing properties of CBD that isn’t found in Hemp Seed Oil.
For example, if you need a good moisturizer Hemp Cream will be great to restoring the moisture balance in your skin. If you are trying to fight off a condition, like psoriasis or muscle pain go for a CBD Topical. Search for ingredients that show CBD or hemp extract… Make sense?

Hey Jamie, thanks for sharing this post. I’m always interested in learning about CBD from your site as you always have something good to recommend as well. I’m amazed at how many different products you can get from CBD that help with everything imaginable!
I’ve heard about Hempworx from one of your previous articles and got interested in knowing more about the company. I like the fact that they offer a 60-days money-back guarantee. That’s always encouraging when shopping online.
I have a question. I saw that some companies sell help flowers, similar to marijuana flowers, but without THC in them. Can you smoke these and if so, what are the benefits? Thanks in advance!
Hi Ivan, thanks for the comment. You have me stumped. I’ve not heard of Hemp Flowers. I’ll definitely look into this. Our product extracts CBD from the flowers, stems, and leaves. I’ll see what I can find out.
Thanks again for the comment.

Thanks so very much for clearing things up, Jamie. I was really confused as to what CBD products to buy from my local pharmacy.
I learned from your article that effective products are those that contain the real CBD. And no-one has bothered to explain it to me.
I want the best and I like the various unique products that Hempworx offers.
In your opinion, would Hempworx product or products would you recommend for someone with acne.
As you said the best combo, is to have products that can work both from the outside as well as from within.
Looking forward to your reply.
Regards
Hello and thanks for the comment. For acne I would first start with the tinture/CBD Oil and get that in your system. I would take that under your tongue twice a day. Give that a week to get into your system and see how your acne reacts. You can always put a little dab of CBD oil on problem areas and rub it in. One drop will go A LONG WAY on your skin. You can always try the REFRESH cream that is mentioned in this article for continued facial treatment and keeping your skin moisturized.
I would love to hear your progress. Keep in touch!
Stay Healthy,
Jamie L
Hello!
Thank you for this article! I was looking for something for my eczema because I wanted to look for an alternative to steroids.
This is a great start article that showed me to look into CBD oil more then hemp seed oil!
Hi there…. it’s definitely worth a try! Please give it a try and keep in touch. I would love to track your improvements and reach out to you for a testimonial. I’m confident you’ll see improvements!
Keep me posted and stay healthy!

Hey,
Another informative review of these CBD products. It sounds like these products will really work on our skin and help us when we are moisturising. My girlfriends would be more interested in these products than I would be so I am going to share this article with her, my sister in law and my friend’s wife.
I will encourage them to leave a comment and if they have any issues or questions then I will advise them to get in touch with you. If that is OK with you?
Thank you for sharing and keep up the great work.
All the best,
Tom
Thanks Tom! Let her know I have free samples of the shampoo and condition she can try. I give out 5 samples each month. Please share with anyone you think will benefit from this.
Thanks so much!

This a really informative post.
I’ll be honest, I don’t know much about CBD and it’s benefits, but this has definitely opened my eyes to how beneficial it can be.
I have had shoulder pain for a long time now, I have just learned to live with the niggle, but I might just give CBD and go and see how it goes.
It seems that more people are resorting to CBD these days for issues they may have.
Thanks for the info.
Adam
Hi there, yes, my CBD journey started with shoulder pain! It is definitely worth a try! I saw benefits after taking oil within 3 days. If you are in the U.S. and would like a free sample of the CBD oil I can sent you some.
Stay healthy and thanks for the comment.

Hi Jamie!
I use a few CBD products but this brand is new to me so I’m glad I found your article. I use CBD for relief so I immediately went to check out the topical Relief cream. The 50ml jar is comparable to the product I already use which is nice! It also includes CBG, which the product I use does not, and I’ve found that I prefer hybrid products (both topical, edible and tinctures) that include both CBG & CBD.
The product I use is a roll-on and I didn’t see one from the Hempworx line but it’s definitely not a deal breaker! I’ve got your page bookmarked to come back to and check it out when it’s time to buy more!
Hi there… thank you so much for your comment. I use the topical relief cream myself along with CBD Oil and capsules. The relief cream is so potent. I just put a dab on my index finger and spread it over my entire shoulder and can really tell a difference! A little definitely goes a long way!
Please reach out if you have any questions.

These look like amazing products. I have used cbd oil drops on a scratch one of my dogs had, and it helped it heal. I have been looking for cbd creams, but is hard to get them sent internationally (I live in Mexico). The relief cream looks great, does it also work for back muscles?
Hi Christine, Thanks for your comment…and yes, the relief cream works for back muscles. I’m always amazed how little it takes to go a long way. I did just check the latest news and you are correct. Mexico doesn’t allow CBD products into their country. Hopefully they will change this soon. My company is able to ship other products to Mexico if you were interested in becoming an affiliate. We have a crypto currency program and essential oils. Let me know if you want more information on either of these.

Thanks for providing the clarity on CBD Topical and Hemp Cream and what exactly to look for in the ingredients…I was not aware that Hemp Seed Oil the does not have properties of CBD.
A quick question: Can we have any kind of adverse reaction to CBD & how many mg of CBD should be present in a Topical to have some effect ?
Hi, great comment and question. I’m not sure there is an exact MG of CBD for you to see the effect. Everyone is different. Even when taking the oils some people respond to 5 drops and others need 10 drops or more. The best is the one-two punch I mentioned. Take Oil sublingual and the topicals together. I hope this helps.

Jamie,
Thanks for posting! I haven’t thought about CBD being used as a topical ointment for psoriasis or pain. I have heard about ingesting CBD oil to achieve the desired effects. In your research, do you know if these topical CBD products are prescription? It seems like they could support people with lingering skin issues. Overall, thank you for the information! I learned a great deal from your article
Hello and thanks for the comment. You do not need a prescription for CBD cream. You just have to know that you are buying a quality CBD lotion or cream. Many topicals that have HEMP in their name only contain Hemp Seed Oil and not any CBD. Hemp Seed Oil has benefits for skin but not all of the healing properties that CBD has. If you have any questions on any products please reach out to me. For psoriasis I would start with the oil and give it a try. If you would like a sample please reach out and I’ll send one for free!

In this article, it is relevant to the needs that we are having and trouble with our knee. I need to make time to stretch more and get the relief that we need.
In the article you mention CBG, this is another compound discovered to help with joint pain.
We are finding more products with CBG in them. We are glad that you talk about topicals, not too many people mention other ways to relieve pains with creams and lotions.
Look forward to reading another fantastic article that we always relate to.
Cheers,
Mathew&Deloris
Hi, thanks for the comment. I’m glad you enjoyed my post. If you have knee pain it is definitely worth a try! I can always send a sample of the oil if you are here in the USA. Keep in touch!

Jamie,
I have to admit, I love CBD creams. I actually bought a very good one for my Mom in Law for Christmas since she has really bad osteoarthritis in her knees and hands. She said she loves how it feels like it’s taking the swelling down, even if it is only temporary.
Definitely a great option for those that don’t like to take pills for pain! I may have to start getting her the drops though too. I didn’t realize that you should take it both inside and outside the body for the best to kick in!
Thanks for sharing this article!
Katrina
Hi Katrina, It always brings me joy to hear an enthusiastic comment like yours! I’m glad you mom in law has received results. Let me know if you have any questions, need to place an order, or if you want your own CBD Business!

Hello,
This is a great read, as lots of people still don’t know about the benefits of CBD.
It really is a “Jack of all trades” product and now more than ever people are beginning to understand, appreciate and enjoy the products.
Lots of people turn to CBD when conventional methods aren’t working and the anecdotal stories of CBD only strengthen its reputation.
Great mentioning the CB receptors as this doesn’t get mentioned enough.
I use a cbd balm if I tweak a muscle and it works great along with my daily cbd too.
Training regularly requires me to take real care of myself as I’m not getting any younger.
Great post and very informative as ever!
Hi and thanks for the comment! I love hearing from other CBD users and how CBD helps them. I look forward to hearing from you again in the future.
Stay Healthy!
